She also works for Rutgers/Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Program in a part-time capacity as their Marketing/Outreach Coordinator in addition, she continues to work in a per diem capacity as a hospital-based case manager. So, you may wonder why Sheila deserved to be selected as the Monmouth County recipient in this, the inaugural year of NJSSNA's "School Nurse Who Makes a Difference" recognition of one school nurse per county. Well, Sheila Caldwell is a school nurse's resource in Monmouth County and the rest of the State. In fact, Sheila is a resource for school nurses nationally. The monitoring of the two major NASN Discussion Board Communities, is a task that Sheila relishes because she knows the importance of information sharing. She considers educating her peers and serving as a mentor - her professional calling. Empowering school nurses is her prime objective. School Nurses from around the country rely on Sheila’s expertise and advice. Sheila also serves on numerous State and local committees that focus on school health. Sheila will also be serving on the Executive Board of NJSSNA starting in the 2016-2017 school year.
