President - ​Giuseppina Pagnotta, Giuseppina Pagnotta DNP, MSN Ed, RN, NCSN, PED-BC - My nursing education began with my RN diploma from Christ Hospital School of Nursing in 1990. I then graduated from New Jersey City University with my Bachelor of Nursing (1994) including my School Nurse Certification (1998). My education continued and I went on to complete a Masters in Health Administration at NJCU in 2002 and an MSN from Monmouth University (MU) in 2020. I have been a past presenter for a Substitute School Nurse Workshop at Monmouth University. Most recently (Jan 2024), I graduated from MU with my Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Post Master's Certificate in Nursing Education.
I currently work as an adjunct nursing professor for NJCU and a clinical educator for the Joint Hackensack Meridian Health/Middlesex College Nursing Program. My past roles included Communication Chair for the New Jersey State School Nurses Association and Speaker Committee for the Monmouth County School Nurses Association. I am currently the President of the Monmouth County School Nurses Association. I am also currently on the Programming Committee for the New Jersey League for Nursing. My school nursing career has spanned more than 25 years and has covered positions from North to Central New Jersey school districts which include Newark, Fair Lawn, Freehold Boro, and Neptune. My skill set includes BLS Instruction, nursing seminars, workshop planning, Microsoft Excel, customer service, and nursing didactic and clinical education, as well as leadership. I am an avid lifelong learner.
Vice President - Cathy Grano, PhD, RN, CSN-NJ. Cathy received her Ph.D. in Nursing from Seton Hall University and is currently a member of the faculty at Rutgers, The State University of NJ. She worked for 14 years as a Certified School Nurse in Middletown and also acted as Co-Lead Nurse for a period in the district. A strong advocate for health promotion, Cathy involves her students in activities aimed at increasing physical activity, making healthy food choices, and promoting healthy behaviors. Her professional interests focus on health promotion, trauma-informed care, mental health, and disparities. Cathy is a 2013 Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Fellow, CPR instructor, and Childbirth Educator. Prior to school nursing, Cathy worked for 15 years in Maternal-Child Nursing including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery care. In addition, she has served on the NJSSNA education committee and the MCSNA program committee, and is a member of NASN, ANA, NJSNA, American Public Health Association and Sigma Theta Tau.
Treasurer - Eileen Eccleston - graduated from St Vincent's Nursing school with my diploma of nursing. I shortly went back and received my BSN from the College of Staten Island. I worked in a step down unit , telemetry and pediatrics units at St Vincent's. I received my certificate in school nursing from TCNJ and currently work as a school nurse at Howell high school which is the Freehold Regional High School District. I also work per-Deim at St. Peter's university hospital in the NICU. I received my MSN from Monmouth University in 2010. I am a member on the Cert team in my town and volunteer in the St Vincent de Paul society in my church. I am the faculty advisor for our relay for life event at howell high school.
Recording Secretary - Cara Borgia, BSN, CSN-NJ, RNBC - I have been a nurse for ten years, graduating from Brookdale Community College Nursing Program. I continued my nursing education to achieve my Bachelor of Nursing through Chamberlain University and currently at Monmouth University for my MSN. I have worked at Saint Peter’s University Hospital for my entire nursing career, specializing in surgical, endoscopy, and orthopedics. I am currently still per diem in the Endoscopy/Same Day Surgery Unit and am the school nurse at Errickson Elementary School in Freehold Township. I currently reside in Howell with my husband, two children, and our dog. I look forward to working with our organization and having a great school year!

Past President - Gail Hall, MSN, RN, CSN-NJ - After receiving a BSN from Villanova University, I received CSN certification and an MSN from Monmouth University. I have been a school nurse for many grades and programs, some including Our Lady of Perpetual Helps in Highlands NJ, MOESC nurse for the Huntowski, BEST and Crossroads Programs; Randolphville School in Piscataway; Point Road School in Little Silver; and in the Freehold Regional HS district: Freehold Boro HS and where I currently work, Colts Neck HS. I'm married to Tom, we live in Colts Neck and we have 4 children, Katie Jim, Joe, and Annie.
